I see you, mama. I see how tired you are, both physically and mentally. I see you wishing you could go to the store alone for 30 minutes of peace and quiet, but can’t because your baby won’t take a bottle. I see you having to leave the room, away from the crowd at a family gathering to feed your baby.

I see you.

I see you when you feel like the cluster feedings may actually drive you mad. I see you wearing your hair up in a messy bun for the tenth day in a row, because of the reason mentioned above.
I see you planning your day around your baby’s feeding schedule because you don’t want to deal with the stares when you have to nurse your baby in public. I see you doubting that this will ever get easier.

I see you wondering why you ever decided to exclusively breastfeed, then immediately feel guilty for thinking that. I see you wishing you could just go on a date with your husband but can’t for obvious reasons.
I see your dinner getting cold because no one but you can feed the baby.I see your unswept floors, sink full of dishes, and piles of laundry.
Yes, fed is best. But don’t ever let anyone rain on your parade for being proud of breastfeeding.Because it. is. hard. I know your struggles. I am with you. I see you.

Yours Truly, MamaBear
